This night, American Idol will be letting the Top 11 contestants undergo the “Billboards #1 Hits” theme. This night might be just another entertainment to you but to the contestants, this means a lot. Anyone not doing well tonight might be in danger of going home tomorrow and will not be able to participate in the said Summer Tour. The only beef I got on this night is the fact that Miley Cyrus(!) is the mentor, LOL! What is this girl going to “advice” on the contestants that is even older than her. Sure, she sold a millions of albums and got #1 hit singles, but what she’s saying to “help” these contestants doesn’t really help them, but anyway…
Lee Dewyze did “The Letter”. It was good, though I can agree with Simon Cowell that the kind of song was not the kind of song that we should be hearing on Lee’s album.
Paige Miles, struggles with song choices since the beginning of the big stage. “Against All Odds” is the one she’s singing and boy, sin’t that bad??? LOL! I don’t know, that’s just me…
Tim Urban tried really really hard to be lively and all that but he’s rendition of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” is so boring and stiff. He tried loosening up but he looked 100% stiff, I don’t know why is that. The only surprising moment is when he ridiculously slides on the stage that at least, will make you smile!
Aaron Kelly rendition of “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” is also nice, but not the best of the night.
Crystal Bowersox is next and did “Me and Bobby McGee”. It was once again great performance, but Crystal seems to be repeating herself. That song is absolutely being tailor-made for her. NO risk and playing it safe in the long run, so? It’s also surprising about asking the autograph of teenage millionaire like Miley Cyrus. I mean, these two chics were in different world or should I say… genre??? Not that I’m complaining about it!
Michael Lynche is also another safe performer. I mean, he’s one of the good singers in this season and we all know he can sing well but this night… he did “When A Man Loves a Woman”. Boy, as expected, he’ll be doing great, but seems like that the judges weren’t impressed as I am…
Now I have no idea what is happening to Andrew Garcia. He did “Heard It Through the Grapevine” and as I watch it I was like having this impression of… well, I think Kara is right! It’s a bad performance, nothing more to say! And what I’ve said of Kara’s remark, yeah, she’s right of saying that Andrew tries to live the glory days of her rendition of Paula Abdul’s song. Unfortunately, he can’t get ‘em back. Well, not only Kara is right but I also agree that Simon is really right that Andrew is overhyped from the start. For weeks of bad performance, Andrew is lost in the competition now. Case closed.
Katie Stevens is another contestant who keeps on finding a personality but still couldn’t have it. She did “Big Girls Don’t Cry” – it wasn’t good, but it wasn’t bad either. She looks good tonight ‘though.
Now when it comes to Casey James… first, I love this guy for telling Miley Cyrus that he’s a big fan of her… DAD! That’s classic! And well, Casey did Back to the Future’s soundtrack “The Power of Love”. It was good to me, but Simon want something original. But nothing in that performance is bad. Cool and the song is even cool 25 years ago and even now?? Great movie too, I’m having nostalgia, LOL!
Didi Benami did a song “You’re No Good” and that’s ironic. She keeps on repeating the lyrics and that backfires to her, LOL!
I don’t know what is up on the head of Siobhan Magnus. She put her hair up like a mohawk and/or looking like what Sanjaya did. She did “Superstition” and once again screams in the end. It’s the typical Siobhan now. She sing it good, well, we all know Siobhan is a really good singer anyway but I think the praises on ‘Paint it Black’ came inside her head and think she’s the new favorite now.

American Idol 2011 - Are You In or Out? Enter to Win!

Hello there!
I’m a big follower of your site! Thanks for setting it up! I couldn’t follow AI in live TV coz I’m in China as of the moment so I watch the episodes here
Just have 1 inquiry, since I don’t have the chance to watch the episodes live and still want to be surprised on who’s gonna be eliminated, is it possible to alter the title of the entry and remove who was eliminated for the week?
Like “AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Paige Miles Eliminated” – can be changed to “AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 9: Top 11 Results Show” (coz now I already know who goes home before i watch the video… awww)?
Just asking if possible
no pressure though, still a very big fan of your site and I’m so thankful to you! YEY! Keep it up =)
