American Idol aired the first elimination round for Season 9 and we got Four Idol hopefuls sent home. This might shock fans, since we knew that everybody got their own favorite already. However, I think the elimination is all about judging the contestants on how well are they doing during the singing competition. So for this result, I think everything went right – except for Tim Urban vs Joe Munoz maybe, but that’s just me. Here are the first 4 eliminated contestants: Janell Wheeler, Joe Munoz, Ashley Rodriguez and Tyler Grady.

To those who have seen the previous episode or that when Top 12 boys and Top 12 girls performed, you knew that is a bad night. Still, it’s American Idol and there’s a strong 24 million votes gathered.

This night we also got a performance from Allison Iraheta. I’m not a big fan of Season 8 at all so I can’t tell how she progress singing. All I can see is that she looks ‘different’ now, hah!

Back in the girls elimination. As been said earlier, Janell Wheeler is the first one to go. And now, we got Lacey Brown, Didi Benami, and Ashley Rodriguez. You know it already, Ashley Rodriguez gets the cut. Too bad, but Ashley isn’t a good sport at all. She obviously looks upset, doesn’t want further interview and said ‘time to sing’, lol!

Now it’s all about the guys. It was a battle between Tim Urban and Joe Munoz. I was ‘surprised’ hearing that Joe Munoz gets the cut. He’s not that bad if we compare him to what Tim Urban did with ‘Apologize’. I almost forgot, voters are teenage girls and I think they don’t mind the singing! Tim Urban got the looks and wins that side. Joe Munoz was sent home.

‘Idol Gives Back’ gets a plugged and Kris Allen sang ‘Let it Be’…

This time is a battle between Alex Lambert and Tyler Grady. Upon first look, it’s hard to tell. Alex is full of nerves while performing last night, while Tyler is overtly-copying Jim Morrison making him look very annoying! So who’s your bet here? Before you could even decide, Ryan asked Simon if who’s going home and he said: Tyler. Once again, Simon Cowell is right. Tyler Grady is going home.
