American Idol is now airing their 34th episode for this ninth season. It all comes down to the Top 6 contestants and they will be performing songs by Shania Twain – and for an added bonus, they’re having Shania Twain herself as their mentor.

So this night, is not an easy night! If you think that Shania songs were easzy to sing and all that, well think again. Tonight, we are about to see a lot of hit and miss performance. Too bad, but it seems that there are more misses than hits in this episode.

Michael Lynche takes the stage first, and to see this guy singing a Shania song, it’ll looks devastating as it could get! The performance came out okay though. Simon said it is too girly for Michael and I have to agree with that.

Casey James came up on stage with her acoustic guitar once again and he picked “Don’t”. Eventhough Shania said that she’s more like missing Casey’s confidence – the performance came out really good. I think this could be the performance of the night…

Crystal Bowersox did picked the wrong choice, or? Well, she picked “No One Needs to Know” and too bad because that song got a big country vibe. I’ve thought that Crystal will be doing great with Shania songs but this one didn’t met my expectations. Or maybe I’m expecting too much from Crystal already, tsk!

Lee Dewyze came up on stage singing one of the most popular Shania songs, You’re Still the One! This is a big risk! Lee is going to take a dive ala David Cook! Unfortunately, for me… it didn’t do it! I’m sorry but this version is a failure. Yeah, I’m so David Cook and we can’t do anything but to compare these guys when it comes to tweaking things like this.

Aaron Kelly picked You’ve Got a Way, and look, I’ve never really cared for this guy. I don’t know. I think he didn’t do it in an awful way. I thought it was okay. I don’t know. I couldn’t care less, heh!

Next is VFTW new pick: Siobhan Magnus. However, after this performance I don’t know if they (vftw) will still pick Siobhan since Siobhan is the best singer of the night! Amazing vocals from this girl! The weird clothing is still present but after a couple of weeks after Paint it Black, Siobhan is back on track! Good job!!
