BANFF, Alta. — “American Idol” shouldn’t try to replace Simon Cowell now that the sharp-tongued judge has left to helm a new reality series, says former “Idol” producer and “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Nigel Lythgoe. The variety show guru, who worked on “Idol” until 2008, says the singing competition should stick with three judges and pay more attention to the music after a lacklustre season. “It’s never been my opinion that four judges work on that program because it should be about the talent,” Lythgoe said in a recent interview from New York before heading to Alberta for the Banff World Television Festival.

Yep! Our boy and American Idol Season 9 champ, Lee Dewyze, will be singing in the NBA Finals. This is his own solo appearance after they (with Crystal Bowersox) “toured” TV shows and Radio Stations. Both Lee and Crystal already appeared in Ellen’s show, Regis and Kelly and most recently, NBC’s Today Show. What’s next now is for the both of them to separate ways (maybe?) and start promoting themselves. So oaky, Lee’s singing for the NBA finals but guess what because Chicago Bulls already did their early exit. So Lee’s just following the American idol tradition: singing in the NBA finals, meh!
Hohummm… this is literally boring! I’ve no idea who’s next to replace Simon Cowell. A lot of folks, including Howard Stern and Perez Hilton gets mentioned while the ninth season is still running. Now the show is over and look at what we got… Brett Michaels! Yup, that 48 year old glam rocker from the 80s is said to be replacing Simon Cowell. Of course, this is NOT confirmed yet. Just to give you an idea. My opinion is this: Brett is ailing. He is said to be suffering from brain hemorrhage and is diabetic. The thing is, who will replace Brett if he dies? Ah ah, not saying that Brett is dying, just my own speculation – since all of these were just speculations, so why so serious?
American Idol is going out with the Top 5 in this upcoming Sinatra Week. Mentoring the remaining contestants is Harry Connick Jr. The problem is that, there are five boys left and only one girl left, and that’s Crystal Bowersox. Crystal was really a strong front runner and a very good singer, but the Sinatra Week might be a big risk for her. Michael Lynche will be the one to feel really comfortable here but let’s just wait and see Tuesday Night…
The heat is getting better in American Idol. Last elimination, Siobhan Magnus gets the cut. So that leaves us with four guys and Crystal Bowersox – the only girl left standing in this season. So who’s winning? Literally, we don’t know but each and everyone got their own speculations. If you think Aaron Kelly will be the next American Idol, then that’s just fine by me! However, I am not so convinced that Aaron will be the one winning as I find nothing special with his singing “talent”…
Last week in American Idol, it’s “Idol Gives Back” and also, it is the episode where Tim Urban loss the round to Casey James. Whatever happens, it’s a sad day for the worsters, but then again – there’s a new pick: Siobhan Magnus. Well, she started as one of the frontrunners of this season but for an unknown reason, she deteriorates and deteriorates and not getting any better to compete. We’re looking forward how all of these things turn out, lol…
