For this episode in American Idol, it’s Hollywood Week and this time it is ‘Round Two’. There are 96 remaining contestants and they will be grouped into trios and quartets – it’s Group Day! As expected, everybody is busy rehearsing, maybe the whole night. We got Group Names like The Dreamers, Neopolitan, The Mighty Rangers, Faith, Team Awesome, Big Dreams, Three Men and a Baby, Middle C, and other groups that I didn’t catch (what was that??).

First rocker chic, Mary Powers, seems to be having issues with a vocal coach named Michael Orland. It seems that Mary is taking charge and won’t let him get through the song.

A group called Faith, which includes Charity Vance, Ashley Rodriguez, and Michelle Delamor, were the first group taking the big stage. So far they connect nicely with their rendition of Irreplacable.

Next up is Team Awesome, this includes Michael Lynche, Seth Rollins, Michael Castro, and Tim Urban). These guys got a shaky performance leaving the judges no choice but to split the group. Seth and Michael Castro vs Tim and Big Mike. After the break, the result is up, Big Mike and Tim were moving on while it’s the end of the road for Michael Casto (Jason Castro’s brother) and Seth Rollins.

Of course, people are going to mess up in this round and forgetting the words were the usual stuff happening around.

Shaky, Sleepy and uninteresting performance could be all over the place and a group calling themselves Big Dreams, includes Amanda Schectman and Matt Lawrence – gets a comment from Simon, like “It was so horrific”.

Middle C with Jermaine Purifoy, Janell Wheeler, and Casey James did it well with Closer.

Three Men and a Baby includes J.B. Ahfua, Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens, and some nameless contestant breaks the ice with No One.

We got these folks going to the next round: John Park, Lloyd Thomas, Haeley Vaughn, Tasha Layton, Keia Johnson, Tyler Grady, Angela Martin, Christian Spear and Katelyn Epperly. For 96 contestants, there are 71 others going to the next round. Is your favorite being cut? Let’s find out…
